
Recruitment Test commences in Telangana, witnesses 95 per cent attendance in rural areas

HYDERABAD: Telangana Recruitment Test (TRT) that commenced on Saturday saw 34,827 candidates appear for Language Pandit (Telugu) and School Assistant (Telugu) posts.The test was peacefully conducted in all 52 centres except at St Peter’s Engineering College at Dhulapally where it was interrupted due to server issues. Chairman of Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) Ghanta Chakrapani said technical issues would be resolved as and when they arise. He also said that all those found making false allegations against the commission regarding the conduct of the examination would be liable for legal action.
On day one, of the total 17,970 registered candidates, 17,333 appeared for the morning session. While the overall turnout was 92.8 per cent, in several rural centres a whooping 95 per cent attendance was recorded, TSPSC said in a statement. The afternoon session of the Computer Based Recruitment test (CBRT) for the School Assistant post (Telugu)recorded 85.43 per cent attendance with 15,473 candidates appearing for the test.
On Sunday, 57,464 candidates will appear for secondary grade teacher for Telugu and English medium in 86 HMDA centres for morning session and 38 in afternoon session.Meanwhile, TSPSC issued a notification postponing the Assistant Executive Engineers in RWS&S department examination that was scheduled to be held on 18 March on account of Ugadi festival. It will now be held on 1 April.
