The adage ‘Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder’ was applied to the ruling dispensation and trolled on social media for the total discord in facial features present in the former AIADMK supremo J Jayalalithaa’s statue unveiled earlier in the day.

The cadre, who attended the event, were seen cursing the organisers besides guessing the closest match to the facial features in the statue installed as Jayalalithaa. 

Meanwhile, meme makers had a field day by mixing pictures of closest matches as yesteryear film actresses KB Sundarambal and Vadivukkarasi, among others. Choreographer Kala, former minister B Valaramathi, Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Thevar and VK Sasikala, are among those figured in the list. 

Sarcasm was at its best in some posts terming it as a discreet accomplishment by the party’s joint-coordinator and Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami, as the statue also had a striking resemblance to his wife Radha.
