No mobile phones at school campuses
In the wake of misuse of mobile phones for circulating obscene videos and pictures on the internet, the State Government has banned mobile phones in school campus.
The Directorate of Elementary Education under the School & Mass Education Department has written to the District and Block Education Officers asking them for strict implementation of the rules in all the schools.
As per the directive, school teachers, staffs and students would not be allowed to use their mobile phones during school hours in the campuses. The school staffs have been asked to put their mobile phones on silent mode at the schools.
The decision was taken after several reports came to notice of the School & Mass Education Department regarding use of mobile phones by teachers during taking classes that had a direct adverse impact on the students.
