California Democrats have decided not to endorse senior U.S.
Sen.
Dianne Feinstein in her bid for re-election.
Fifty-four percent of delegates endorsed the state's Senate leader, Kevin de León.
Neither candidate received the 60 percent of votes needed to win the party's endorsement.
In a likely jab at Feinstein, De León said at the state party convention Saturday, QUOTE - "It should never take a primary challenge for California's leadership to stand up for California values," and he was "never fooled into believing that Donald Trump can be a good president." Feinstein, a centrist Democrat, said last year Trump had the potential to be a good president and that she hoped he would.
She's been in the Senate for 25 years.
