The final day of the The Hindu Auto Expo 2018 witnessed a large turnout of visitors, especially many families, at the Raja Muthiah Mandram where the visitors had a glimpse of different brands and models here on Sunday.

Officials from auto industries said that the event generated several inquiries and over 500 registrations during the last two days.

“The auto sector is again looking upwards and more youngsters are interested in purchasing their choice. Such expos helped in showcasing newer models to the public,” said a member of the organising team.

Various car companies addressed the concept of fuel efficiency, mechanism to check emission and safety aspects, the visitors said.

Shivapriya, one of visitors at the event, said that the BMW6 series collection was a point of interest and attracted her to the event. She added that she would like to see more premium cars in second expo.

The State Bank of India and Canara Bank stalls gave an overview to potential customers and helped them understand loan options and EMIs for different segments.

The fuel partner for the event is IOC and banking partners are SBI and Canara Bank.
