Dispute over temple pathway in Aquem

Margao: Chaos marred the proceedings of the Aquem-Baixo gram sabha on Sunday over the issue of a pathway in front of a temple premises. While arguments ensued over the issue between warring factions, sarpanch Siddesh Bhagat expressed his disinclination to interfere in a matter pertaining to religion.
As no meaningful discussions took place, the meeting ended without any resolution being passed. The audit report was placed at the meeting. tnn
