A 42-year-old person, who was working as an online cab driver in the city, was found dead in the cab parked near Kadavanthra on Saturday.

The deceased was identified as K.K. Chidambaram, a resident of Kumaranasan Road in Elamkulam. The body was first spotted around 9.30 a.m. by locals who, in turn, alerted the police. The deceased was found sitting in the driver’s seat even as the air conditioning unit was still working. Preliminary investigations revealed that he had suffered a cardiac arrest.

Chidambaram is survived by his wife and two daughters. Chidambaram, a diabetic, had been driving the online cab for more than three years.
