Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said Maharshi Aurobindo's philosophy of consciousness integrates entire universe. Addressing Golden Jubilee celebrations of Auroville in Villupuram district of Tamil Nadu today, Mr Modi said the fact that Auroville has brought together such huge diversity of people and ideas makes dialogue and debate natural. He said, Indian society is fundamentally diverse. It has fostered dialogue & a philosophic tradition.
Earlier, Prime Minister visited the Sri Aurobindo Ashram in Puducherry and paid homage to its founder Sri Aurobindo. After arriving in Puducherry from Chennai, Mr Modi floral tributes at the memorial of Aurobindo and meditated for a few minutes. He also interacted with the children of the International School of Education run by the ashram. The Prime Minister also released a commemorative stamp on Golden Jubilee celebrations of Auroville.
