Mumbai: Five people were injured after a ground plus one residential structure collapsed in the Sangam Nagar area in Antop Hill on Saturday.

“Five people were trapped under the rubble. They were all rescued with the help of locals, and taken to Sion Hospital, where they were treated for injuries and discharged,” an officer with the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation said.
A Fire Brigade officer said some repair work was on in the house, and, prima facie, is believed to be the reason for the collapse. The injured have been identified as Salim Sheikh (46), Kesardevi Prajapati (34), Jitesh Prajapati (13), Bhavesh Prajapati (9) and Jigar Prajapati (6).
The Antop Hill Police is conducting inquiries to find out whether there was any negligence by the contractor conducting the repairs which could have led to the collapse.
