Notice to Hassan DC for breach of protocol

more-in

The State government has issued a show-cause notice to Hassan Deputy Commissioner Rohini Sindhuri for “breach of protocol by not receiving and seeing off Chief Minister Siddaramaiah” during his visit to Shravanabelagola recently.

According to government sources, a notice was issued on February 23 to Ms. Sindhuri asking her to explain her absence during Mr. Siddaramaiah’s visit to Shravanabelagola on February 7, when President Ram Nath Kovind visited the Jain pilgrimage centre to inaugurate Mahamastakabhisheka celebrations. She has been given three days’ time to give reason her absence.

Ms. Sindhuri has been the eye of the storm for the past few days. The government had transferred her out of Hassan just a month ahead of Mahamastakabhisheka. However, the transfer was stayed after a directive from the Election Commission.
