
Visakhapatnam: The Andhra Pradesh government on Saturday inked as many as 77 memorandums of understanding (MoU) on the first day of CII’s Partnership Summit worth Rs31,546 crore with different companies including Grasim industries and Essel Group in Visakhapatnam.
These MoUs, according to the details provided by industry chamber CII, will generate jobs for about 98,290 people. The major companies who signed these pacts include Mytrah Mobility (Rs7,000 crore) for electric vehicles; JBM Group (Rs2,650 crore) for electric mobility, solar power generation and auto components; Adani Group (Rs4,000 crore) for green field port at Bhavanapadu; Grasim Industries (Rs2,500 crore) for a chemical unit in Kakinada.
In automobile sector, as many as 14 MoUs worth over Rs14,000 crore was inked.
