On the inaugural day of the three-day CII Partnership Summit and Sunrise AP Investment Meet being held here, 77 MoUs worth ₹31,546 crores were signed. The employment projected was 98,291. Leading from the front was the tourism sector with 56 MoUs with an investment of ₹7,807 crore and employment of 33,123. The automotive sector saw a windfall with 14 MoUs with an investment of ₹14,124 crore and employment of 47,368, followed by Marquee with 3 MoUs and investment of ₹6,600 crore and 14,000 employment. In the industries sector, four MoUs were signed for an investment of ₹3,015 crore and projected employment of 3,800.
Adani Ports and SEZ Limited led with the highest investment of ₹4,000 crore and employment generation of 1,000 for the proposed hreenfield port at Bhavanapadu. The Adani group promised an investment of ₹9,000 crore over the next five years.
Electric vehicles
The other major MoUs signed was by Mytrah Mobility for ₹7,000 crore for electric vehicles. The project is estimated to generate employment for about 14,000.
JBM group also signed a MoU of ₹2,650 crore for electric mobility, solar power generation, and auto component. The investment is projected to generate employment to about 16,700 people.
Grasim Industries Chemicals Division signed a MoU for the Chlor Alkali Complex at Kakinada for ₹2,500 crore with an employment generation of about 2,200.
Visakhapatnam-based Synergy Castings signed a MoU for ₹1,020 for aluminium alloy wheels and Sun Mobility inked a pact for ₹1,670 crore for interoperable EV charging.
LuLu Mall
Gold Fish Abode signed a MoU for ₹2,000 crore for golf course and Lulu Shopping Mall inked a MoU for ₹1,500 crore for developing a convention centre in Visakhapatnam.
