Bihar walking a tightrope to increase its budget size amidst falling revenue

The worry is on account of the fall in state’s own revenue mobilisation that has been lagging behind the target. This year, the state had set up a target of mopping up Rs 32,000 crore but there are indications that it would at best be able to collect only Rs 27,000 crore.
