News video: Facebook Removes VR Shooting Demo From Conference

Facebook has been criticised for being "tone deaf" after showing off a virtual reality shoot-em-up demo at a conservative conference following the Florida school shooting.

The social network has since removed the shooting aspects from the demo, and says it regrets not doing so sooner.

"Out of respect for the victims and their families, we have removed them from this demo," an exec said.

The social network has a presence at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) conference in Maryland, this week, including a booth running a demo of its Oculus Rift virtual reality headset..
