2 killed after scooter hits speeding bus

Two youths were killed in a road accident after their scooter hit a speeding bus head-on at BRTS corridor under Bairagarh police station area in the morning on Friday.

Police said around 9 am two injured youths were rushed to Hamidia hospital and were declared dead.

The youths got injured after their scooter hit a speeding city bus. The deceased were identified as Vaibhav Kalra (16) and Dinesh alias Babu (17). The two were relatives. Police said Vaibhav was a student while Dinesh used to work at a garment store.

In a bid to reach Halalpur at her relative’s house, they opted to use BRTS but failed to control the scooter and rammed into the bus bearing registration number MP04PA1912 which was heading towards them.

The two were rushed to a nearby hospital where they were declared dead.

It was a head-collision and due to the impact of the collision students sustained severe injuries which lead to their death.

After the preliminary investigation the bodies were sent for the post mortem and case under section 279 and 337 of the IPC was registered.

Police said that a case under section 304 A of the IPC would registered later in the investigation.

The bus driver escaped the bus leaving it on the spot which was seized by the police in the investigation.

The death occurred due to head injuries which the deceased sustained after the hit railing at the BRTS.
