Rashtriya Sanskriti Mahotsav to be held on Feb 24, 25

National Cultural Festival, Rashtriya Sanskriti Mahotsav, a two-day cultural extravaganza is set to enchant the residents of Gwalior on February 24 and 25.

The event featuring artists from various states and harmonizing a variety of arts including classical, folk and tribal will be inaugurated by Narendra Singh Tomar, the Union Minister of Rural Development, Panchayat Raj and Mines and Dr Mahesh Sharma, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Culture and Tourism and Civil Aviation in the presence of State Ministers Maya Singh, Jaybhan Singh Pawaiya, Narayan Singh Kushwah and Vivek Shewalakar, the Mayor in the Gwalior Fort on Saturday.

Speaking to the media, Collector Rahul Jain said that the National Cultural Festival is organized with a view to celebrate unity in diversity and to preserve and build up the fabric of the society.

The collector added that free bus service will be provided from every nook and corner of the city. A Food Court too will be available in the Fort premises and he asked the public to come in large numbers and enjoy the extravaganza.

The collector instructed the concerned officials to make all arrangements for the smooth conduct of the festival. The security in and around the Gwalior Fort will be under the supervision of Addl SP Dinesh Kaushal while the traffic arrangements will be looked after by Traffic DSP Vikram Singh Kanpuria.
