The Teachers Recruitment Test (TRT) in the State got off to a smooth start on Saturday with no hitches reported in its conduct or any goof-ups in the exam paper.
In the morning session, Computer Based Recruitment Test (CBRT) for Language Pandit (Telugu) posts was conducted at 52 centres across Hyderabad, Karimnagar, Nalgonda, Warangal and Khammam. Of the 17,970 candidates who had registered, 17,333 downloaded their hall tickets. About 95% of them appeared for the test.
The afternoon session was held for School Assistant (Telugu) where 85.43% of the 16,827 candidates who registered took the test.
A statement issued by the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) said that the conduct of the test was monitored from the Command Centre established at its office.
Overall, the examination has been conducted peacefully across all test centres, the statement said.
On the second day on Sunday, the examination will be conducted in the pen and paper mode.
In the morning session, test for Secondary Grade Teacher (Telugu Medium) will be held and followed by one for Secondary Grade Teacher (English Medium).
About 57,464 candidates are likely to appear forin the morning and 29,334 candidates in the afternoon .
Special squads have been constituted to monitor the conduct of the exam.
