The Board of Intermediate Examination (BIE) has made arrangements to block all cellular services at examination centres to prevent question paper leak.
All outgoing and incoming calls, including MMS and SMS, will be blocked. As in previous years, neither students nor invigilators will be allowed to carry their phones into the exam hall.
BIE Secretary A. Ashok said 9,63,546 students would be appearing for the Intermediate Public Examination beginning on February 28. Of them, 5,07,911 are second year students.
Hall tickets would be made available on ‘bietelangana.cgg.gov.in’ and ‘www.tsbie.cgg.gov.in’ from February 26.
Mr. Ashok said students could utilise the exam centre locator app developed last year to find out the exact location of the centre assigned to them. However, no candidate would be allowed to carry mobile phones and other electronic gadgets into the exam hall. The rule also applies to the Chief Superintendent. The BIE has constituted 1,294 centres for the exam and 25,395 invigilators have been deputed. Mr. Ashok said 1,294 chief superintendents and 1,294 departmental officers were appointed.
