A youth died when he was hit by a goods train in the Bokaro Thermal area near Ganjudih village within limits of Gomia police station here on Friday evening. Cops said the 25-year-old boy was allegedly walking very close to the railway tracks with earphones plugged in and could not catch the sound of the speeding train. His family members, however alleged foul play, the police added.
The victim, later identified as Prakash Yadav belonging to Bagodar area in Giridih district had left his relative home and about 30 minutes later his relative got to know that he died in an acciden, they said .
Initial probe disclosed that the victim was walking with earphones plugged in and did not register how close he was to the track. Preliminary questioning revealed that the victim had left his house with a bag and it could be recovered 20 to 30 meters away from hid dead body, sources said.
A RPF Gomia rushed to the accident site and the case is being investigated from all possible angles .The family is suspecting foul play, police sources said.We are waiting for the autopsy to determine the cause of death, police said .
