Live Score, India vs SA, 3rd T20I: India would be looking to end what has been a largely successful tour of South Africa on a high when they face the hosts in the third and final Twenty20 international at Newlands, Cape Town on Saturday.
Riding on Shikhar Dhawan and Suresh Raina's cameos, India set 173-run target for South Africa in the third and final Twenty20 at Cape Town. Despite losing the stand-in captain Rohit Sharma early in the second over, Suresh Raina and Shikhar Dhawan revived India's innings. Raina set the stage on fire and played some innonative shots to put India on top before South Africa chipped in with some late wickets. India were easily marching towards 200 but Junior Dala and Morris helped South Africa peg India back and restrict them to 172/7 in 20 overs.
Earlier, it came as a surprise to everyone when Virat Kohli didn't come for the toss in the series decider. Rohit Sharma took over the captaincy as South Africa won the toss and elected to field first in what looked like a good batting surface with a fair bit of grass cover. Speaking of Kohli's absence in the side, Rohit said that the Indian skipper had a stiff back and he needed some rest. Dinesh Karthik was included in the side in place of Kohli with Yuzvendra Chahal and Jaydev Unadkat also missing out on a spot. Axar Patel and Jasprit Bumrah was included in the final XI in place of Chahal and Unadkat.
