Chaat vendor murder: three arrested, including wife

The police arrested three people in the murder of a chaat vendor in Kurubarahalli in Mahalakshmi Layout on February 22. The arrested included his wife Anita and her paramour Roshan.

On the morning of February 23, Anitha informed her neighbours that three men barged into her house in the night and hacked her husband, Narasimhamurthy, to death after spraying a sedative on her face that made her unconscious.

Anitha told the police that she found her husband's body wrapped in a blanket and slipped under the cot after waking up in the morning.

The police, however, grew suspicious and watched Anitha's movements. They scoured her call records and realised that she was in a relationship with Roshan. Both Anitha and Roshan confessed to killing the man when the police picked them up for questioning.

Roshan, a native of Mysuru, carried out the murder with his friend Somaraju (27) from Chamrajnagar.
