Man on Mission to spread prasad
With his hard work and determination Govind Singh Mahar of Motha Chakka village near Ghat in Chamoli has ensured that a Prasad locally made by Women Self help groups is provided to pilgrims at Badrinath temple. He is now on a mission to help other self help groups so that the real potential of selling Prasad in the famous temples of Devbhoomi U’khand is achieved.
Talking to The Pioneer Mahar said that is coordinating and helping women self groups in making of Prasad. “We collect the best Amaranth seeds and use pure ghee in preparation of Prasad. The Govt provided us some space near Badrinath temple.
The Prasad prepared by us is totally organic and made from local produce. We use no polythene and sell the Prasad in locally made baskets,’’ he said. Mahar lauded the role played by HESCO in training and providing technical support to women groups in the mission.
