Catholic women's convention on March 4

Catholic Sabha and Bishop's House, Mangaluru will organise a convention of Canara Catholic women at St Agnes Special School ground on March 4.

Addressing reporters here on Friday, Catholic Sabha president Anil Lobo said that the programme will be presided over by Mangaluru Bishop Fr Dr Aloysius Paul D'Souza. Assistant superior general of Bethany Sisters Congregation Sr Lillis B S will inaugurate. Karnataka Soaps and detergents Corporation former chairperson Veronica Carnelio will deliver the keynote address. NRI entrepreneur Ronald Colaco, Mangaluru South MLA J R Lobo, MLC and Government Chief Whip in the Legislative Council Ivan D'Souza and others will be the guests.

Sadhana awards will be conferred on achievers Paulin Flossy Pinto, Taicode (Agriculture), Jessline Elizabeth Mary Lewis, Kallianpur (differently abled), Juliana Lobo, Derebail (Education), Eulalia D'Souza, Bejai (Entrepreneurship), Linet Castelino, Nithyadhar Nagar (Government service), Mary Vas, Derebail (health), Merlyn Rasquinha, Angelore (literature and fine arts), Violet J Pereira, Bendore (professional), Remedia D'Souza , Belman (social service) Joyline Muriel Lobo, Shirthady (Sports), on the occasion, Anil Lobo said.

A book 'Streeyarigagi sarkara', compiled by Steven Quadres Permude, will be released on the occasion.
