NEW DELHI. Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader
Tejashwi Yadav on Thursday accused the
Nitish Kumar government in Bihar of hatching a conspiracy to poison his food.
In a series of tweets, Yadav alleged that a sinister plot was being devised by Kumar to tarnish his image and endanger his life.
“After phone-tapping during my stay at circuit house, there are now attempts to lace my food with poisonous substances. Spies are being deployed to keep a watch at my movements,” tweeted Yadav.
The former deputy CM of Bihar claimed that Nitish govt was nervous as his statewide ‘Samvidhan Bachao Nyay Yatra’ was receiving overwhelming support from the public.
“My sources have told me that Nitish is mighty distressed with the support I am garnering. He is plotting a vicious campaign against me by derailing my yatra,” the RJD leader added.
He followed it up with one more tweet, where he accused Kumar of being an “opportunist” and “negative” leader, who can go to any extent to settle scores with opponents.
“Entire nation knows that Nitish is an autocrat who can stoop to any level to wipe out his rivals,” Yadav tweeted.
“I am unable to understand what a 28-year-old man (referring to himself) has done to harm him. As a matter of fact, he won an election with our help only to betray the mandate later,” he concluded.
Yadav’s accusations come few days after his elder brother
Tej Pratap Yadav had alleged that he quit the government bungalow that was allocated to him as Nitish and his deputy
Sushil Modi had "unleashed ghosts" to haunt him out of it.
