With the objective of attracting Rs2.5 lakh crore of fresh investments and generating 30 lakh job opportunities as part of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik's Vision-2025, the State Government is working tirelessly towards diversifying and broadening the State's industrial development across focus sectors," said Minister, Finance, Excise and Public Enterprises Shashibhusan Behera.
Behera extended invitation to Gujarati industrialists and entrepreneurs to explore growth opportunities in Odisha and invest in the State.
Addressing a road show and investors' meet at Ahmedabad, Minister Behera said that taking benefit of a progressive policy regime, innovative technological interventions in Governance such as the Government of Odisha's GO SWIFT single window initiative, abundance of raw material and skilled labour availability, companies from around the country have successfully established their units in Odisha. Chief Minister Patnaik has envisioned a 3 'T' framework of Governance- Transparency, Teamwork and Technology which is helping us achieve our Vision 2025 for sustainable industrial development, he said.
Behera also said that ASSOCHAM has ranked Odisha as the No. 1 State in terms of investment implementation rate and it is amongst the top 3 States in terms of live manufacturing investments in India.
The State Government organised an investment promotion road show in Ahmedabad as part of the preparations of 'Make in Odisha-2018'.
Representatives from the Confederation of Indian Industry, Adani Group, Welspun Group, Manpasand Beverages Ltd and Gujurati Samaj attendd. Besides, a video presentation on 'Business Ecosystem and Investment Opportunities in Odisha' was made.
Discussions and meetings with representatives of group of companies such as Flourish Pure Foods, Arfin India, Amar Group, Torrent Cables Gokul Agro Resources Ltd, ABB Ltd, Eris Life Sciences Ltd, AVOCAB Cables and Wires, Vertex Cotton, Hazira LNG and Savegeo Energy Ltd were also held.
