History-sheeter’s car fired upon

Rajkot: The car of a history-sheeter Mahesh Gamara was fired upon near Beti Rampar village near Kuvadawa of Rajkot taluka on Friday evening. However, Gamara and his gang member Jala Bharwad, a resident of Sagar Society in Rajkot, escaped the attack unhurt.

The incident occurred when Gamara and Bharwad were returning after appearing in a court at Chotila for hearing of an old case of physical assault registered against them.


“A resident of Pipalia village of Chotila taluka in Surendranagar district Jairaj Kathi and his three unidentified associates arrived in a car, intercepted Gamara’s SUV, and fired one round at it,” an official from Chotila police station said.
