KwaZulu-Natal - A Ford Kuga, a model embroiled in a series of safety recalls has caught fire in Estcourt, KwaZulu Natal, reports News24.

Owner Sissy Mkhwanazi said: "I am not looking for fame, I want Ford to take responsibility for what is happening."

The Durban resident was travelling Southbound on the N3 when she felt the SUV losing power. Mkhwanazi said her brakes did not function properly and she heard, says News24, "a loud noise coming from somewhere in the vehicle and observed a dark object flying off as she applied her handbrake".
