Returns from Tamil Nadu on Thursday

For the third day, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday maintained silence publicly after Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash on Tuesday accused Aam Aadmi Party MLAs of assaulting him at the CM’s residence on Monday night.

Mr. Kejriwal, who returned from a trip to Tamil Nadu on Thursday afternoon, has not issued any public statements or posted on social media about the alleged incident. Two AAP MLAs, Prakash Jarwal and Amanatullah Khan, were arrested on Wednesday in connection with the case.

Retweeted tweets

Mr. Kejriwal, who is an active Twitter user with 13.4 million followers, had not tweeted anything since February 17 as of 8.30 p.m. on Thursday.

He had, however, retweeted journalists and AAP leaders’ tweets.

He re-tweeted a tweet by AAP leader Atishi Marlena on Wednesday that asked: “Two Qs: 1. Does anyone actually think that @ ArvindKejriwal will plot to get an IAS officer assaulted? 2. And even if we stretch our imagination to believe this — would he get this done in his own home, in his own presence at 12 midnight?!!!”
