BJP member raises issue of stray cattle causing accidents
BJP member Shivratan Sharma raised the issue of stray cattle on roads being cause of accidents through a calling attention motion in the Chhattisgarh Assembly on Thursday.
In his reply , Home Minister Ramsevak Paikra said that the stray cattle is caught and sent to the cattle homes.
The horns of cattle are wrapped with radium strips to prevent accidents at night, he said.
The Panchayats must punish owners of stray cattle who release them on the streets, the Minister said.
Sharma said that the owners of cattle who release animals at night must be punished.
To this, the Minister said that if somebody reports such incidents the Government will take action.
The member said that the pastures are getting finished in the State where will the cattle go?
