Two persons died and one injured after their bike was hit by a speeding truck near a petrol pump under Berasia police station area late in the night on Wednesday.
Police said that bike bearing MP04-MZ-3508 was hit by a speeding truck and escaped the spot. The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital where two of the youths were declared brought dead.
The two deceased were identified as Shivcharan Singh (20) and Charan Singh (19) while the injured was identified as Ranjeet Bijore (18). Doctor claimed that Ranjeet’s condition is stable and was later discharged after providing primary treatment.
SHO Berasia HC Ladiya said the accident took place around 2 in the night and after hitting the motorbike, truck driver escaped the spot. The deceased used to work as labour and were on their way to refill petrol.
Police said that in the initial investigation details of the registration number and other details related to the errant truck have not been identified and would be investigated.
The CCTV cameras installed in the nearby area would be investigated which could help in establishing the identity of the errant truck.
The bike was hit from back which left no chance for the rider and pillion riders to save themselves. The three were on their way to petrol pump at Sonktuch Bijori Tapra.
After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem and the police have registered a case under section 304 A of the IPC and have started further investigation.
