Illegal arms factory busted by police in Mhow, four held

The police have on Thursday unearthed an illegall arms factory in Mhow and nabbed four miscreants involved in making and selling of arms illegally. Police recovered 13 illegal country made pistols, revolver, and 7 cartridges from the accused.

DIG Indore Harinarayanchari Mishra has issued order to maintain strict vigil on the people involved in manufacture and sale of illegal arms. SP West Indore Vivek Singh formed a team of policeman lead by Addl SP Mhow Nagendra Singh to unearth the illegal arms factory and arrest the arms suppliers.

In this connection SDOP Betma Vikram Singh interrogated the miscreant Devkaran and Raja who are resident of Manpur police station area who gave the information of few people engaged in illegal sale and manufacture of pistols.

Police team raided village Lalbagh situated in police station Dhamnod of district Dhar where accused Pratapsingh was arrested. From whom 6 country made katta of 12 bore, 2 live cartridges, 4 country made pistol with 7 live cartridges and 2 country made revolver were recovered.

Accused Pratapsingh informed about the factory where these arms were manufactured where Meharsingh Chouhan, Punjilal Thakur and Tarachand were arrested with the raw materials and machinery used in manufacture of Pistol. The accused told they are regular supplier of illegal arms. Accused Pratap Singh is listed criminal of Dhamnod and in past attacked the STF team of police.
