Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today urged the central government for releasing its share on account of increased salary of contractual and ad-hoc employees working under various schemes and programmes being jointly run by the state and the Centre as per the seventh pay commission. The chief minister made this request in a meeting with vice-chairman, NITI Aayog, Rajiv Kumar here today, an official release said. Kumar complimented the state government for its revenue resources and said that it is much higher as compared to other states in the country which is clear indication of a growing economy. The chief minister, flanked by finance minister, Abhimanyu, said Haryana is the first state in the country to implement the seventh pay commission in the state and give all the benefits to its employees. Referring to the state government's announcement regarding giving 14.29 per cent hike in the salary of employees working on contractual and ad-hoc basis, he said the state government has already given its proportion of increased salary but the Centre share is yet to be received. There are many scheme and programmes which are being jointly run by the State and Central Government. The Centre should consider this request and announce its share, he added. Khattar said with a view to apprise the people about various schemes of central and State Government and to ensure that the people at grass root level gets the benefit of these schemes, more than 380 schemes across 30 departments would be made available on SARAL Platform with effect from April 14, 2018. Apart from this, SARAL Antyodya Kendras would be set up in Tehsil offices having dedicated officers to apprise the people and assist them in availing the benefit of these schemes. Vice-Chairman, NITI Aayog appreciated the initiative of the state government to open SARAL Antyodya Kendras at Tehsil level and said that a team comprising officers of NITI Ayog would visit Haryana in the month of July or August this year to study the functioning of such centres so that the same concept could be replicated in other states also. He also appreciated the scheme under which 46 top IAS, IPS and IFS have been allocated one block to fastrack the development projects. He said that the state government and NITI Aayog could prepare a time-bound oint action plan to keep a check on the depleting ground water-level in the state and work as a mission in this direction. Kumar asked the state government to share the details of those centrally-sponsored schemes in which either central share has not been released or less central share has been released by the central government so that necessary action could be taken in this regard. Member, NITI Aayog, Ramesh Chand described Haryana as a leading state in the country in the agriculture sector which has been successful in maintaining high productivity rate as compared to other states.
