Wild animal gores farmer at Manugonda

A farmer was seriously injured when a wild animal gored him at Manugonda village in Geesukonda mandal here on Wednesday.

The villagers said they had been seeing two wild animals, reportedly bisons, in their farms since Tuesday evening. When G. Chinnna Lachaiah tried to chase them, an animal attacked him. He was seriously injured with his intestine coming out. He is undergoing treatment at MGM Hospital.

A farmer Thota Narasaiah said they do not know where the two wild animals came from, but are terrified. They informed the police and forest officials, who are yet to arrive. They described them a wild pigs which they never saw in their locality. A zoo official said they were bisons, but are clueless about how and where they came from.
