The Opposition is mounting immense pressure on Prime Minister Narendra Modi to break his silence on the Rs 11,400-crore PNB fraud committed by diamond trader Nirav Modi.
The Congress and Aam Aadmi Party have taken a lead in launching frontal attack on PM Modi to explain to the nation about the multi-crore fraud.

Hashtagged Maun Modi, the Congress in a tweet said, Today marks the 8th day since the #ChhotaModi Scam broke. PM Modi is still mum and avoiding legitimate questions. Does he think that his silence will make the people of India forget about the country's biggest bank loot?

Rahul Gandhi linked the fraud to the PM's forthcoming monthly radio programme 'Mann Ki Baat'.

He said, "Modi Ji, last month you ignored my suggestions for your Mann Ki Baat monologue. Why ask for ideas when in your heart you know what every Indian wants to hear you speak about? 1. Nirav Modi's 22,000 Cr. Loot & Scoot. 2. The 58,000 Cr. RAFALE scam. I look forward to your sermon."

ARVIND KEJRIWAL
Though Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal did not personally name the prime minister, he did retweet a post asking Narendra Modi to break his silence on the PNB fraud.
He also retweeted a post demanding that the Prime Minister should speak on the PNB fraud in his next monthly radio programme 'Mann Ki Baat'.
Commenting on the fraud, Kejriwal blamed the BJP. He said, Is it possible to believe that either Nirav Modi or Vijay Mallya left the country without active connivance of the BJP government?

The Delhi CM has asked the Modi government to give specific timelines specifying when they would bring Vijay Mallya and Nirav Modi back to India. He has also sought to know the time when the money would be recovered from them the two.
BJP govt shud give specific timelines by when will they bring Vijay Mallya and Neerav Modi back to India. By when will the money be recovered from them?

Kejriwal also used the opportunity to attack both rivals the BJP and the Congress. He alleged that the PNB scam started in 2011 and was continuing till date. BJP and Congress are levelling allegations on each other, he said.
Kejriwal further said, The truth is that the scams of the Congress era are still happening. Earlier Congress was earning from those scams and now the BJP is profiteering from the same scams. This is the reason why BJP has not sent any Congress leader to jail in any scam.
SHATRUGHAN SINHA
The BJP is facing heat not just from the Opposition but also from its own members.
Rebel BJP MP Shatrughan Sinha has been launching personal attack on Prime Minister Modi on several issues, including the PNB fraud.
In a tweet he said, A nationalised bank scam of unparalleled magnitude... and a conspicuous lack of response from the top people of Govt! Bade miyaan to bade miyaan, chote miyaan subhan-Allah. Neither the Chowkidaaar-e-watan nor even the Ministry of Finance has provided any response or explanation.
