Sambinha headed in the second goal for the visitors, who remain 10th on the league table after 17 matches.

Lucian Golan struck in added time to salvage a hard-earned 3-2 victory for Mumbai City FC against spirited North East United FC in ISL season four. The defender had earlier gifted the rivals with a self-goal, so the match-winner in the 90th minute helped the home team grab a win and three valuable points. Achille Emana and Everton Santosh were on target.

Sambinha headed in the second goal for the visitors, who remain 10th on the league table after 17 matches. T P Rehenesh defied MCFC with reflex saves, but was beaten thrice as the delighted home team climbed to sixth place as a result of seventh victory in 16 games, besides breaking the four-match losing streak at the Mumbai Football Arena.

Rehenesh’s form under the bar enabled him pull off excellent saves to deny Everton Santos, diving to his left and keep out a fierce try by the MCFC player after Achille Emana set up the move. The two combined to put the home ahead in the 15h minute, the latter applied the finishing touch from inside the box with a firm shot to the left post..

MCFC let slip the advantage when Luician Golan found his own net in an attempt to clear a shot by Gursimran Singh. The visitors increased the lead through a powerful Sambinha header. Amrinder Singh in goal was beaten for the second time in the first half. He got a lucky escape when Mosquera tapped over, with the entire goal to place the ball in off a perfectly-time by Lalrindika Ralte.

The result: Mumbai City FC 3 (Achille Emana 15, Everton Santos 54, Lucian Golan 90) bt NorthEast United FC 2 (Lucian Golan 24-og, Sambinha 43).
