dahi puri

Doesn't it look delicious? For the uninitiated, dahi puri is a popular Indian street food typically eaten in the state of Maharashtra. The dish is made from hollow and crunchy semolina or wheat pillows called puris or gol gappe as they are called in some parts of India. The chaat dish comprises of the puri that has a hole on top and is stuffed with a spicy potato or chana masala filling called ragda locally.

The filled puris are then topped with curd, spicy mint chutney and sweet tamarind chutney. The dish is finished up with crunchy besan sev or small fried noodle-like fritters that are also individually enjoyed as a tea-time snack across India. Oh and not to forget the chopped coriander that comes right on top, to add a unique flavor to the dish! Keep indulging your taste buds Fatima!
