Multilingual literary fest on February 24, 25

Karavali Lekhakiyara Vachakiyara Sangha will organise a multi-linguistic literary fest at Tulu Bhavan, Urwa Store in Mangaluru on February 24 and 25.

Addressing reporters here on Wednesday, Association president Shashilekha B said that the programme will be held in association with Karnataka linguistic literary academies.

Researcher Dr Indira Hegde will inaugurate the fest on February 24 at 9 am.

The valedictory programme will be held on February 25 at 4 pm. Akkamahadevi Womens' University (Vijayapura) Vice Chancellor Dr Sabiha will deliver the valedictory address. Superintendent of Police B R Ravikanthegowda will be the chief guest.

During the two-day fest, sessions will be held on the multi-dimensional aspect of coastal region, women writers, coastal media and so on. Cultural programmes will also be held, she said.

Association joint secretary Aruna Nagaraj, secretary Roopakala Alva, members Arundhathi Rao and Pushpajyothi were present in the press meet.
