Jurassic World 3 gets a release date; second installment — Fallen Kingdom — still four months away from theatres
The second installment of the Jurassic World franchise, Fallen Kingdom, is not even out yet; and the next sequel, which had been in the works for some time, has been officially announced, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

The latest sequel is being penned by franchise newcomer Emily Carmichael with director Colin Trevorrow, credited with the 2015 reboot of the Jurassic series, as reported by E News.
The second sequel, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom directed by JA Bayona, is awaiting release on 22 June with stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard and Jeff Goldblum reprising their characters. “I’m thrilled with the tension and beauty JA has brought to Fallen Kingdom and I know Emily will add another layer of emotion to the concluding chapter of our trilogy,” said Trevorrow about the latest collaboration, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.
Trevorrow will also be the executive producer along with the original series creator Steven Spielberg, who had introduced movie audiences to the giant reptilian creatures in the iconic 1993 movie Jurassic Park. “I remember telling Steven even while we were still making the first movie, 'This is the beginning. Here is the middle. And here's the end of the end. This is where we want to go'”, said Trevorrow in an earlier interview.
The reboot universe was set 22 years after the events of the first Jurassic Park film, taking place on the same island called Isla Nublar off the coast of Pacific coast, in the 2015 movie Jurassic World.
