MANOJ SINHA LAYS FOUNDATION STONE FOR REDEVELOPMENT OF AYODHYA STATION
Manoj Sinha, Minister of State(IC) of the Ministry of Communications and Minister of State for Railways, Govt. of India, laid the Foundation Stones for Redevelopment of Ayodhya Station and its Circulating Area & development of Freight Terminal at Salarpur station and Inaugurated two Escalators & two Lifts at Faizabad station in the holy city of Ayodhya, on February 20. Rishikesh Upadhyay, Mayor, Ayodhya, Lallu Singh, MP (Lok Sabha)and Vinay Katiyar, MP (Rajya Sabha) were the distinguished guests present on the occasion. Ved Prakash Gupta, MLA (Ayodhya) and Shobha Singh Chauhan, MLA, Bikapur, also graced the function Vishwesh Chaube, General Manager, Northern Railway, Satish Kumar Divisional Railway Manager, Lucknow, Arbind Kumar, Director(Projects) RITES, Mani Anand, Principal Chief Commercial Manager, Shri Naveen Chopra, Principal Chief Engineer, Jagdip Rai Chief Administration Officer (C) and other senior officers of Northern Railway and Branch officers of Lucknow Division, NR were present on the occasion. Indian Railways has been constantly endeavouring to provide better facilities to the rail passengers.
DGICG INAUGURATES COAST GUARD INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS AT PORT BLAIR
Director General Indian Coast Guard, Rajendra Singh, President Tatrakshak Medal, Tatrakshak Medal reviewed the progress of operational and infrastructure projects at Port Blair. The DGICG and Urmila singh, President Tatrakshika laid foundation stones for two infrastructure projects towards construction of Hangars and OTM building for Coast Guard Air Enclave(Port Blair) at Nayagao and OTM/accomodation projects at Namunagarh for District HQ-14 The Flag Officer also inaugurated newly constructed accommodation building for CG Enrolled Personnel & families at Coast Guard residential area and renovated Regional HQ Operation centre alongwith Conference Centre at District HQ- 14. DGICG also launched in house developed budget management software and appreciated efforts put in by Regional Headquarters (A&N) towards digitization. Flag Officer whilst addressing Coast Guard Officers during Operation review at Headquarters emphasized on importance of continued efforts by all towards development of ops logistics infrastructure and asked everyone to continue with same zeal and enthusiasm to achieve new goals to live upto the Coast Guard motto “Vayam Rakshamah”.
AAI INKS MoU with Honeywell Technology Solutions Lab Pvt Ltd
Airports Authority of India (AAI) on February 20 signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Honeywell Technology Solutions Lab Pvt. Ltd. to develop a long term collaboration in the field of aviation technologies, systems and procedures, with emphasis on improving safety, security, efficiency, capacity and environmental aspects of India’s aviation operations and infrastructure. This MoU was signed by Dr Guruprasad Mohapatra, Chairman AAI and Akashay Bellare, HTS India Leader in presence of board members of AAI and senior executives of Honeywell Technology Solutions. Honeywell Technology Solutions (HTS) is the integrated technology development and engineering arm of Honeywellhaving more than 10,000 employees across its centers in the world. India is currently experiencing significant growth in air travel, which is expected to continue due to increase in disposable income; domestic/international tourism and low air fares.
BHEL bags Rs 1k Cr Captive Power Plant Order
Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has won a prestigious contract for setting up a Gas Turbine based Captive Power Plant on Lumpsum Turnkey (LSTK basis) under International Competitive Bidding (ICB). Valued at Rs 1,034 Crore, the order has been placed on BHEL by Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) for its Visakh Refinery expansion project at Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. BHEL’s scope of work in the contract envisages engineering, manufacture, supply, transportation, erection & commissioning and civil works of one Gas Turbine Generator (GTG), one Heat Recovery Steam Generator and one Steam Turbine Generator along with associated auxiliaries on LSTK basis. This captive power plant is being set up to meet the power and steam required by HPCL for its planned refinery expansion from 8.33 to 15 MMTPA. With this order, HPCL has reposed its confidence in BHEL for GTG-based captive power plants. BHEL continues to demonstrate its leadership status in India and abroad for GTG-based power plants with more than 230 GTG projects (executed/ under execution) including eight for HPCL’s refineries at Visakhapatnam and Mumbai.
DOPE conducts Orientation Programme with PFC
The Department of Public Enterprises, Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, organised a one-day orientation programme on “Capacity Building of Government Directors of Central Public Sector Enterprises” at India Habitat Centre in collaboration with Power Finance Corporation Ltd. (PFC). The programme was inaugurated by Seema Bahuguna, Secretary; DPE. Dr Madhukar Gupta, Additional Secretary, DPE and Rajeev Sharma, CMD, PFC were present on this occasion. The participants were addressed by eminent faculty including CS NK Jain, Corporate Advisor and Former Secretary,ICAI, Anupam Kulshrestha , Ex-Deputy Comptroller and Auditor General, GoI, Dr Ashwani Kumar Gupta, Financial Expert, Dr Madhukar Gupta, Additional Secretary , DPE, Rajesh K Chaudhary, Joint Secretary, DPE and Rajeev Sharma , CMD, PFC.
