RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav's eldest son, Tej Pratap Yadav, has said that he had to vacate his government-provided bungalow in Bihar because Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Modi had sent a ghost to the bungalow in order to get it demolished.

Tej Pratap Yadav said this while talking to journalists last weekend when he vacated his official bungalow.

Tej Pratap Yadav was allocated the government bungalow, located on 3, Deshratna Road in Patna, after the 2015 state elections in Bihar.

After the election, RJD-JDU and Congress formed the coalition government in Patna. However, within 20 months, Nitish Kumar left the 'mahagathbandhan' and partnered with the BJP instead.

A few months after Nitish switched sides, the Bihar government's State Building Construction Department sent notices to RJD and former Congress ministers, asking them to vacate official accommodation.

Tej Pratap Yadav was among those asked to give up his government bungalow.

According to sources, Tej Pratap Yadav was sent another notice in October last year asking him to leave the bungalow. The notice, sources added, warned him that he would be charged 15 times the rent if he failed to vacate the bungalow soon.
