AAP Minister Imran mobbed, prevented from taking the elevator to his office

Hours after Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash was allegedly manhandled at the Chief Minister's residence at North Delhi's Civil Lines on Monday late night, a chaotic scene built up inside the Delhi Secretariat on Tuesday as Delhi Environment Minister Imran Hussain was mobbed by over a hundred officials and staff. Hussain was prevented from taking the elevator to his office at the secretariat in the afternoon as officials and staff of the AAP Government raised slogans. 

Following this incident, Delhi Police has lodged an FIR on Tuesday for criminal conspiracy, obstructing a public servant from performing duty, assault on public servant etc. against Amantulla Khan, AAP's legislator and others after Ankush Singh, Chief Secretary of Delhi submitted a written complaint against the legislators.

In his complaint, Chief Secretary made allegations on AAP leader for deliberately assaulting him and further wrote in his complaint that 'MLAs shouted and abused me while blaming me and the bureaucracy for not doing enough for publicity of Government.'

Simultaneously, Imran Hussain AAP leader lodged an FIR against chief secretary at IP Estate police station. "In his complaint he stated that when on Tuesday he came to Delhi Secretariat he was manhandled by the supporters of Chief Secretary and dragged outside of lift by them. 

He also mentioned that supporters told him that this action is in a retaliation of misbehavior done with Ankush Singh, a night before.

 

Police said that as per the written complaint given by Imran Hussain, "some people assaulted him, broke his mobile phone and hurled abuses at him".

On his complaint, Delhi Police registered an FIR under sections 323 (Punishment for voluntarily causing hurt), 342 (Punishment for wrongful confinement), 506 (Punishment for criminal intimidation), 427 (Mischief causing damage to the amount of fifty rupees), 34 (Acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of Indian Penal Code.
