His fans are carrying out the works of setting up the stage with a huge LED screen and have also set up a flagpole on the ground. Starting from Othakadai there are flags on either side of the road with the map of Tamil Nadu in black colour with a slogan 'Naalai Namadhe'.

Unlike other political party meetings, there were no big flex banners and posters on the road that was a disturbance to the public during. However, there were posters about him with catchy slogans and pictures from his movie at the asbestos sheets which were set up as a fencing around the meeting arena. Thousands of chairs were placed for the fans to witness the event.

While the works were carried out in a full swing, two parts of the LED screen on the stage collapsed due to the wind, however, the process of fixing the screen back is underway at the stage.

Apart from the arrangements, a Silambattam competition which is the traditional sport of Tamil Nadu is being organised for the students and prizes would be distributed to the winners by Kamal at the stage.

As Kamal's political entry was long awaited by his fans, they are very excited about the announcement which is to be made by him regarding his policies during the public meeting.

Speaking to the The New Indian Express, an advocate M Alagar, in-charge of Madurai district said that Kamal has announced his political entry as there is no good leader to lead the state. He said that even though when he faced several issues from the government during the release of his film, he never mentioned anything about his political entry but his announcement now is a surprise to the fans.

Stating that Kamal is entering into politics to serve the people, Alagar said that Kamal has asked his fans to dissolve the fan clubs and to start 'Narpani Madram' 37 years back. He said that as the fans are carrying out several works for the people currently it would be easy for the fans to make Kamal's policies to the people.

Another fan from Madurai, K Venkatesh told Express that Kamal is a straightforward person which is his style, for which he is admired by the people. “When Kamal met his fans, the very important thing that he insisted about discipline. He also used to mention that the fans should not ask anyone to support him but they should start supporting him for his policies,” said Venkatesh.

He said that several youngsters would be joining his party and all the people in the state would support him as they believe that he would bring a change in Tamil Nadu. Venkatesh said that he is very excited to listen to the announcement which is to be made by Kamal during the public meeting.

Nearly one lakh people are expected to participate in the public meeting and Kamal fans from foreign countries such as Malaysia, France and London are also travelling with him from Rameswaram to support his political journey.
