Amidst much speculation and rumors of shutting down of one of the digital media startups of India, The Tech Portal, it is confirmed now that it is starting again.
The Tech Portal, founded by Pawas Jain and Deepanshu Khandelwal and funded by RAIN in 2014, has been known for their global news coverage in the niche of technology and startups from more than 5 countries.
The website is now live again after a major break of 7 months.
"We were pivoting and learning on various models on digital content and media, and were laying a stronger ground for something more global and stable as a business model", Pawas Jain broke his silence around the break.
"While there were lot of speculations about TP closing down, we are now back with some strengthened Global and Corporate Partnerships which will be revealed in phases in the coming weeks", he further added. "The digital media is a tough space to crack and the domain is expected to see some amazing breakthroughs globally with videos, VR, Machine Learning etc. As a tech news platform, we wish to be recognized as global leaders and stay on top of the game in this domain. We are also planning a few acquisitions in the space to expand our network and create a conglomerate with strong teams."
The Tech Portal also organizes Pitch Off, a tech-startuo conference which has seen 4 editions so far. A fresh edition is also expected in the coming months.
With new blogs and platforms coming up every day in India, it will be interesting to see the competitive domain come alive again with the return of a major player on a larger scale.
