BJP National President Amith Shah addressing 'Shakthi Kendra' leaders of Shivamogga and Mangaluru in Udupi on Wednesday.
BJP national president Amit Shah has said that the party would herald the pathway towards victory in southern states of the country by attesting its massive success in the forthcoming Karnataka Assembly elections.
Addressing the Shakthi Kendra leaders, the BJP head appealed for sincere hardwork among the cadre-based set up. He said depending merely on some 'wave' would not help the party. It is the booth set up which should indulge in rigorous campaign to bring in the success. He said encashing on the anti-incumbent factors is very simple among the tactics followed in the poll agenda. Similarly, victory in the polls is easily available, given that the party is strengthened right from the grass root level. "We don't work like Congress. BJP is completely dedicated and gives its best in terms of struggle to ensure victory," he said. Lakhs of members should take care of booths. Booths are the conglomeration of various sects, castes and religions. BJP is a garden with a variety of flowers. The booths are revamped and are being strengthened to prepare for the forthcoming assembly elections, he said.
He said strengthening the party at the booth level is important for its survival. It should not be something that the party came to power and lost owing to the internal weaknesses. The party should be prepared to endure power similar to that of Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat governments. BJP should be permanently mounted in the political scenario of the country. He urged for burying internal differences and not work on each other's shortcomings. He maintained that party workers should not be unnecessarily indulging in incidents spoiling the peace in the society. The workers should only keep in mind the welfare of the people in Karnataka, he said.
'Convert angst into votes'
The fight should be directly against Siddaramaiah and his government. The party workers should strive to convert the anguish of public towards government into votes for BJP, which would ensure the victory of BJP. BJP is on a winning spree as the party has gained success under the able leadership of Prime Minister Modi.
The victory saga started from Maharashtra, Haryana, Jharkhand, Jammu Kashmir, Manipur and also in Assam, where the BJP has established its stronghold. Gujarat, Goa, Uttar Pradesh and now the success saga of Modi would enter Karnataka, which would ensure the party an overpowering victory. He called upon the party workers to take up 'Vijaya Rath' to southern states. The workers need to sweat it out for the victory.
He asked the Shakthi Kendra leaders to make overnight stays and establish one to one contacts at all levels.
He said he would be frequently visiting the districts until the polls are completed and the cadres should be revamping every day as there is a need for a sturdy and robust party to stay in power.
He appealed that the fight should be based on goodwill factors performed by the Modi-led Central government and the inadequacies of the Karnataka government.
He also expressed his dissatisfaction over workers' apathy towards working at the grass root level and said that he wants the report by the booth leaders by March 5.
The media was not allowed for the meeting, however, the speeches and discussions were audible outside as the meeting was arranged in an outdoor setting.
