The Goa legislative assembly today deliberated over the expected impact of the recent Supreme Court directive quashing the second renewal of iron ore mining leases in the state. Congress leader Pratapsingh Rane moved a calling attention motion, asking the government to file a review petition in the apex court on the directive.
Responding to the queries of Congress MLAs, PWD and Transport Minister Sudin Dhavalikar said, the state government will consider all options to address issues expected as a consequence of the decision including unemployment.
Dhavalikar is the leader of the house in the absence of Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, who is under medical observation in a Mumbai hospital.
