The fourth Twenty20 encounter between the Indian eves and their South African counterparts at Centurion was called off today due to rain.
Before rain interrupted play , South Africa had scored 130 for 3 in 15.3 overs. Lizelle Lee and skipper Dane van Niekerk scored their respective half-centuries for South Africa while for India, Deepti Sharma claimed two wickets and Poonam Yadav one.
Incidentally, it was the first abandoned game for India in T20 history.
Indian women won the ODI series comprehensively and are also leading the T20I series 2-1. The fifth and last match of the T20 series will be played at Captetown on Saturday.
The men's team will also be seen in action in the 2nd T-20 at Centurion in a short while from now. The match begins at 9.30 p.m. South Africa won the toss, but chose to bowl. Team India is currently leading the three match series 1-nil and will look to clinch it with a victory today.
