Facility management firm The Global HelpDesk to enter global market

HYDERABAD: Facility management services firm The Global Helpdesk plans to venture into three international markets by 2020 as it looks to increase its client base by 10-15% in the next few years, said chief executive officer Ritu Grover.

The company also looks to increase its headcount and will be partnering with skill development organisations like the National Skill Development Council (NSDC) etc.

“The way corporates are expanding their base in India, we are sure of expanding our clientele list by 10-15% from the current 400 by 2022. Further, we are also venturing in international waters like Dubai, Sydney and London by 2020,” said Grover.

The company provides facility management, concierge services and various pin-to-plane services to companies like Dell, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), PepsiCo etc., for their employees.

Hence, with growing clientele list, the company plans to hire 1,000 people by the end of 2019 and also indulge in various skill developmental activities. It has currently 1,000 people on rolls and 2,200 on an outsourced basis.

“Lack of talent has been a major issue for this industry and hence we will be collaborating with NSDC later this year to train people and organise job fairs,” said Grover.

The Indian facilities management industry is estimated to grow 17 per cent to cross $19 billion mark over the next five years, according to Global Infrastructure Facilities and Project Managers Association.
