Simran turns baddie for Sivakarthikeyan starrer Seema Raja

Simran will essay a crucial role in Sivakarthikeyan’s next, Seema Raja, and now, according to reliable sources, it has been confirmed that she will be playing the antagonist in the film. Playing the negative role isn’t new to the actor as she has previously done so in films such as Parthen Rasithen. The last time she played a full-fledged negative role, was in 2009’s Ainthaam Padai.

A major portion of Seema Raja has been shot in and around Courtallam. The source also added that the film will have an important flashback sequence involving heavy CG. Co-starring Samantha, Napolean, and Soori, this film is the third collaboration of Sivakarthikeyan and Ponram after Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam and Rajini Murugan. Touted be the story of a youngster from a royal lineage, the film is slated for release on September 13 for the Vinayagar Chaturthi weekend.
