Prime Minister Narendra Modi says, the Central Government has been helping the State Governments without any discrimination.
Addressing, a public rally at Mysuru on Monday, Mr. Modi accused the Congress of trying to divide the society. He reiterated his Government's commitment to provide housing for every family by 2022.
He called upon the people to work towards making an India which is just like what our freedom fighters had dreamt of.
Earlier, Mr Modi flagged off Palace Queen Humsafar Express in the presence of Karnataka Chief Minister Siddharamaiah. He said, Humsafar Express train which connects Mysuru to Udaipur is a historical step and it will boost tourism.
He also dedicated to the nation electrification of the railway line between Mysuru and Bengaluru. The Prime Minister also declared Naganahalli railway station as a satellite terminal station and laid the foundation stone for eight-laning of Mysuru-Bangalore highway. He also inaugurated a new block of the ESI hospital in the city.
Earlier in the day, Mr Modi took part in the festivities of Mahamastakabhisheka at the holy pilgrimage of Shravanabelagola in Karnataka. It was the first visit of a Prime Minister to the holy site in 25 years.
During his visit, Mr Modi inaugurated Bahubali General Hospital and the newly carved 630 steps on Vindhyagiri hill that takes the disciples to the top for the darshan of 58.8 feet tall monolithic statue of Bahubali.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Modi said, the country's saints and seers have always served society and made a positive difference. He said, the strength of the society is that it has always changed with times and adapted well to new contexts.
The Prime Minister also said, it is his government's duty to provide good quality and affordable health care to the poor.
