Forest and Environment Minister Sidda Raghava Rao on Sunday inaugurated the Biodiversity Centre at the Coringa Wildlife Sanctuary near here.
The centre was developed with a budgetary allocation of ₹80 lakh and housed documents, audiovisual presentations and photographs of the flora and fauna that made the sanctuary as its abode.
Mr. Rao highlighted the need for protecting the environment and ensuring biodiversity for the future generations. He said that the government imposed restrictions on setting up of industries in the vicinity.
